The information on this page is intended to provide a general summary of benefits available to employees of Ingham County. The exact benefits an employee is entitled to receive is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between the County and the employee organization or union representing the employee's classification. Probationary and Temporary employees may not be entitled to receive some or all of the benefits listed below.
Ingham County offers its employees a Deferred Compensation Program, a Savings Bond Program, and a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan. The Cafeteria Plan gives eligible employees the flexibility to elect between a cash payment in lieu of employer provided health insurance, and the opportunity to reduce their taxable cash compensation in order to obtain nontaxable dependent care benefits, medical expense reimbursement benefits, including deductibles on health insurance.
